SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine and can be used in a system of measures for the prevention and treatment of rumen acidosis, metabolic acidosis in novice cows in the early lactation period. Energometabolic composition includes, as an alkalizing agent and for neutralizing the acid reaction of the composition, sodium bicarbonate, a flavor improver, metabolite and preservative – sodium chloride, improvement of cicatricial digestion – cyanocobalamin with the following ratio of components for a single dacha: sodium bicarbonate – 50 g, succinic acid – 20 g, beet molasses – 250 g, sodium chloride – 40 grams, cobalt chloride – 0.5 g, drinking water – 500–1000 ml, while the composition is used for the prevention and treatment of rumen acidosis, metabolic acidosis with a multiplicity of times every 5 days in the first month of the lactation period.

EFFECT: invention provides an energometabolic composition suitable for a rapid course of use for relieving the symptoms of rumen acidosis and correcting pathobiochemical processes in the metabolic acidosis of neonatal cows.
