FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used for preventing fatty hepatosis in lactating cows. For this purpose, an energy-metabolic composition is used in form of an aqueous solution in the following ratio of components per one-time dacha: succinic acid 20.0 g, citric acid 2.0 g, choline chloride 10.0 g, cyanocobalamin 0.5 g, beet root syrup 250 g, drinking water—up to 1000 ml, and applied with rate of 1 time in 5 days after calving for 40 days with individual fodder irrigation. Group of inventions also relates to a version of said method, characterized in that addition of sodium bicarbonate in amount of 50.0 g is added to the composition of said composition.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides rapid restoration of liver metabolic function and enables effective prevention of developing fatty hepatosis in lactating cows.
