SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hot rolling. Method of steel 08-12X18H10T section hot rolled plates 60-100 mm thick production for the manufacture of structures of nuclear power plants includes section heating before rolling at a regulated temperature with a controlled exposure, hot rolling on a thick plate reversible mill for several passes with regulated compression and temperature conditions, cooling after rolling with regulated parameters.
EFFECT: receipt of products with a homogeneous structure with a grain size no larger than No 3 in accordance with GOST 5639-82 and an increase in mechanical properties at a minimum cost is ensured by the fact that the rolling is carried out in several passes with unit reduction ratios of 1,12-1,31 at a mass average temperature of metal not less than 1020°C with a total reduction ratio of at least 2,9, after rolling and cooling, heat treatment of hot rolled plates is carried out, including heating to a temperature of 1060-1100°C, holding at this temperature from 1,2 to 2,5 minutes per 1 mm of the plate thickness and cooling in air.
