FIELD: sheet metal.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of sheet metal with increased fire resistance with rolling using a reversing mill. The method includes steel smelting in a steel-smelting unit, out-of-furnace processing, obtaining a continuously cast billet, austenitizing the resulting billet, rough rolling to the thickness of the intermediate roll, its intermediate chilling, finishing rolling with a regulated end-of-rolling temperature, and accelerated water cooling of the resulting sheet to a given temperature. The austenitization of a continuously cast billet is carried out at a temperature at the outlet of the methodical furnace of at least 1200° C. Rough rolling of the billet is carried out to the thickness of the intermediate roll H. The intermediate roll is cooled to the temperature of the start of finishing rolling, determined from the ratio T=(900+N/k2),°C, where k2 =0.6-2. Finish rolling is carried out at a value of single relative reductions of not more than 25%, the temperature of the finish rolling end is set in the range of 810-920°C. Accelerated cooling of sheets after rolling is carried out to a temperature of 530-600°C.
EFFECT: fire-resistant sheet metal with high strength characteristics.
