FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrophysical methods for processing conductive materials and can be used to coat, harden and improve the corrosion resistance of various machine parts and tools. Proposed method comprises deposition of a coating onto a cathode part by polarly transferring the deposited material from the anode electrode beads onto the cathode member by electrical discharges, wherein a reactor containing free electrode-granules is used, in whose central part a cathode part is placed, wherein the reactor is connected to the positive pole of the pulse generator, which supplies current pulses from 100 to 1000 s-1 and a duration of 0.01 to 10 ms, wherein the parts of the cathode rotate at a frequency of 0.5 to 50 seconds-1, and the reactor with electrodes-granules rotates at a frequency of 10 to 1000 s-1 and an amplitude of no more than 2 mm, while a layer of electrode-granules is provided between the walls of the reactor and the cathode-component by at least two diameters of free electrode-granules.
EFFECT: technical result of the proposed invention consists in increasing the technological efficiency of electric spark coating of free granule electrodes by automating the process, its universality and ensuring uniform multi-point contact of free electrode-granules with all sides of the cathode part.
