FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to artificial, vulcanizer-free latex containing water and one or more olefin-unsaturated radial styrene block copolymers of the general formula: A-B-Y-(B-A)n, where each A independently of each other is the polymer block, which consists of at least 90 mole% of styrene monomer; the A content by weight of the total polymer weight (PSC) is in the range of 8-13%; Y is a residue of the coupling agent, which has the functionality higher than 2; the degree of branching (DoB) equals to n+1, where n is the integer from 2 to 5; each B independently of one another is the olefin-unsaturated polymer block, which consists of at least 90 mole% of one or more conjugated dienes; the styrene block copolymer has the binding efficiency (BE) of at least 90%; each block A, independently, has the weight-average molecular weight (MM A) in the range of 9,000 up to 15,000, and each block B, independently, has the weight-average molecular weight (MM B) in the range from 75,000 to 150,000, where molecular weights are determined in accordance with ASTM 3536 using the monodisperse polystyrene standards, dispersed in the stated water in the amount from 20 up to 80% by weight of the combination of water and the styrene block copolymer; (a) the thio-functionalized phenolic antioxidant, or (b) the anioxidant group, which contains the primary phenolic antioxidant and the thioester as the secondary antioxidant; or (c) the combination of (a) and (b); and wherein the amount of the thio-functionalized phenolic antioxidant is in the range of 0.1 to 3.0 parts by weight, preferably in the range of 0.15 to 2.5 parts by weight, and more preferably in the range of 0.2 to 2.0 weight per 100 parts by weight of rubber constituting rubber latex (pm), and/or wherein the amount of primary antioxidant and thioester, each independently of one another, is in the range of 0.1 to 3.0 parts by weight, preferably in the range of 0.15 to 2.5 parts by weight, and more preferably in the range of 0.2 to 2.0 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of rubber constituting rubber latex (pm). Also described is a process for producing articles and the above latex by means of coagulating immersion, where the film is made of latex and the mentioned film is dried and annealed for at least 10 minutes at the annealing temperature in the range of 100-130°C. Dipped products, which are obtained in the manner indicated above, are described.
EFFECT: technical result is the latex, which can be used without vulcanizing additives, which can be used for the manufacturing of the molded dipped product, which can be subjected to annealing without swelling, and is sterilized by means of irradiation with gamma rays without loss of its properties.
