FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to process for preparation of chiral monoterpene sulfinamides, including asymmetric oxidation, providing chiral optically pure sulphinamides by chiral induction of substrate molecules – monoterpenic thiols, amidation according to the invention, the amidation of the thiol is carried out before oxidation to form sulfenamides, the sulfenamides are oxidized with m-CPBA in situ in liquid ammonia with the addition of dichloromethane at a volume ratio of liquid ammonia and dichloromethane ranging from 1:2 to 1:5, at a temperature from -35 to -75 °C, at a molar ratio of thiol : N-chlorosuccinamide : m-CPBA, equal to 1:1.1:1.
EFFECT: method for preparation of chiral monoterpene sulfinamides is proposed.
