SUBSTANCE: invention relates to monitoring transformers with one primary and multiple secondary windings. Method comprises determining the real current of at least one winding to be monitored, real current change of at least one winding to be monitored and real winding voltage. As parameters to be monitored, depending on the dynamic "current-voltage" model of the transformer intended to determine the estimated voltage of at least one winding to be monitored, the effective resistance and the effective inductance of at least one winding to be monitored are determined, or as a parameter to be monitored, at least one magnetic coupling coefficient that describes the magnetic coupling between at least one winding to be monitored and at least one other winding of the transformer is determined. Monitoring is carried out by comparing the parameters to be monitored with predetermined reference parameters or by comparing the parameters to be monitored with each other and generating a warning signal or a defect signal upon obtaining a deviation exceeding a predetermined threshold value.

EFFECT: technical result is providing simple, fast and reliable monitoring of the condition of a transformer state, applicable in any operating condition.
