FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to epitopes of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and can be used in medicine to treat a malignant tumor related to the activation of the EGFR. Provided are EGFR epitopes with the amino acid sequence RGDSFTH (SEQ ID NO: 2) or RGDSFTHTP (SEQ ID NO: 3). Resulting epitopes are highly conserved and are located in the domain closely related to the EGF.
EFFECT: invention effectively blocks signaling caused by the binding of EGF and EGFR.
