FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydro-acoustics and can be used for automatic target detection, determination of its parameters using long-duration probing signals against background of the reverberation interferences. Proposed is a method containing a probe signal of duration T at a known frequency Femission, reception of an echo in a mixture with a hydro acoustic antenna noise interference, sampling of an electrical signal at the output of a hydro acoustic antenna, setting of sampled samples with duration T by the receiver, determination of the energy spectrum by means of the fast Fourier transformation, FFT, determination of the each set energy spectrum, performing the selected spectra sequential analysis, determining the correlation coefficient between them, summation and after the processing the detected echo signals parameters are determined. Thus, using the successive correlation properties of the echo signal and the absence of such properties in the interference, detecting a deterministic signal against a background of distributed interference, and the summation of successive spectra exceeds the signal-to-noise ratio.

EFFECT: this allows automatic detection of the target, determination of its parameters with the use of long-duration probing signals at the background of the reverberation interferences.
