SUBSTANCE: method comprises emitting a probing signal, receiving an echo with a static fan of directivity characteristics, multichannel digital processing of a set of consecutive time realizations on serial spatial channels, determining correlation coefficient (CC) between successive time intervals, selecting successive time intervals between spatial channels with a correlation coefficient greater than 0.5, determining amplitude of time samples of selected time intervals, selection of maximum amplitude in time intervals with correlation coefficient greater than 0.5, identification of intervals with CC>05 by total detection time, average value of amplitudes Aav determines threshold amplitude Athr, determining time intervals having the same time, determining time intervals belonging to neighboring spatial channels, displaying the selected time intervals in the coordinates of the range-spatial channel (course angle), obtained surface is displaced and turned by distance scale by angle Q and by course angle scale by angle G, generating a three-dimensional display of selected time intervals, where the amplitude of the echo signal is output on each spatial channel and the noise amplitude Athr is displayed in green and the amplitude of the signal greater than Athr is displayed in red, brightness is higher the larger the amplitude of the echo signal, wherein the amplitude of the echo signal is displayed in a logarithmic scale with preservation of the initial color.

EFFECT: invention is intended to increase reliability of display of sonar information to an operator.
