SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to compositions of iron-based alloys that can be used in engineering. Iron-based alloy contains, wt%: silicon 0.02–0.04; manganese 0.4–0.9; calcium 0.002–0.005; aluminum 0.4–0.7; molybdenum 0.08–0.2; zirconium 0.02–0.05; niobium 0.2–0.5; copper 1.0–3.0; cobalt 3.0–5.0; rest is iron.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high impact strength.
