SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to compositions of iron-based alloys that can be used in machine building. Iron-based alloy contains, wt%: manganese 0.2–0.3; chromium 0.6–0.9; nickel 0.8–1.2; molybdenum 0.2–0.3; aluminium 4.0–6.0; calcium 0.005–0.01; niobium 0.6–0.8; copper 1.0–1.4; zirconium 0.11–0.17; rest is iron.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high impact strength.
