SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is intended for the diagnosis of chronic gastritis associated with Helicobacter pylori. Immunological examination of heparinized venous blood of patients is carried out. By the method of indirect immunofluorescence in the blood, the absolute number of natural killers (NK cells) is determined, and in the blood serum, the levels of cytokines-interleukin-2 (IL-2) and interferon-gamma (IFN-γ). With an absolute number of NK cells below 0.17×10⁹/l, the level of IL-2 is below 3.35 pg/ml, IFN-γ below 2.25 pg/ml diagnose chronic gastritis associated with Helicobacter pylori, with atrophic changes in the gastric mucosa.

EFFECT: method allows timely diagnosing chronic atrophic gastritis, adjusting the plan and tactics of treatment of this category of patients.
