SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to biotechnology, and can be used to produce a vaccine of small pox for oral administration. Embryonic inactivated vaccine against smallpox contains in one tablet biomass of vaccine virus, strain B-51, as well as auxiliary components – fillers. In this case, the tablet in its composition contains inactivated 96 % by volume ethyl alcohol biomass of the vaccine virus, strain B-51, grown on the chorion allantoic membranes of 12–13 diurnal chick embryos with the following content of these components, mass percentage: inactivated biomass of the vaccine virus, strain B-51 – 81.8; Aerosil brand AM-1-300 – 6.0; sucrose – 10.0; calcium stearate – 2.0; vanillin – 0.2.

EFFECT: use of this invention allows to prevent human diseases caused by pathogens of the group of orthopoxviruses and primarily the causative agents of smallpox and smallpox of animals, pathogenic for humans, in particular, the use of heterologous strain B-51 enhances the antigenicity of the virus and leads to an increase in the immunogenicity of the vaccine.
