FIELD: cleaning.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of bulk materials, in particular to a device for mixing dry and/or free-flowing bulk materials and a method for cleaning a mixing vessel. Device (1) for mixing dry and/or free-flowing bulk material comprises mixing vessel (2) with a cylindrical or trough-shaped wall (3), having end-side end walls (4a, 4b) and mixer shaft (5) extending coaxially to mixing vessel (2) with mixing tools (6), and with one outlet opening (8) for discharging a finished mixture from the mixing vessel located in bottom portion (7) of mixing vessel (2) spaced apart from end-face end walls (4a, 4b). For cleaning mixing vessel (2) after it is emptied, several inlet openings (9) are located on inner side (3a) of wall (3), entering the mixing vessel on the inner wall side for injecting compressed air into mixing vessel (2) above outlet opening (8), respectively disposed adjacent to one of end-face end walls (4a, 4b). Compressed air flowing from inlet openings (9) into mixing vessel (2) is guided along inner side (3a) of mixing vessel (2) towards bottom portion (7) and/or to outlet opening (8). In addition, compressed air is at each of two end-face end walls (4a, 4b) with placed end-side inlet port (11) on each end wall with compressed air muzzle (12) located in them, which enter mixing vessel (2) from the end faces, through which compressed air is pumped into mixing vessel (2) along bottom portion (7) to outlet opening (8), in order to remove the bulk material from mixing vessel (2) through outlet opening (8); that material was removed from inner side (3a) of mixing vessel (2).

EFFECT: invention provides a thorough cleaning of the mixing device with great reliability without harm to the person cleaning the mixing device.
