SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for the manufacture of paper having a high antibacterial and fungicidal activity, and can find application in the pulp and paper, food, pharmaceutical and medical industries in the production of securities, printing paper, sanitary paper, packaging materials. Method for producing paper with antimicrobial properties includes the preparation of an antimicrobial composition, purification and thickening of the pulp, paper refining and shaping, dewatering and pressing of the paper web, processing of the paper web with an antimicrobial composition by spraying, drying, winding in rolls and packaging paper webs. Amount of the antimicrobial composition is 0.15 % by weight. In this case, the antimicrobial composition comprises cluster silver and, at least, an organic acid.

EFFECT: provides the production of paper characterized by high physical and mechanical properties, as well as high antibacterial and fungicidal properties.
