FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rapidly-erected gabion structures of the piled-up type, which are intended for the fortification equipment in a short time period of the positions of motorized rifle, tank and artillery units, temporary deployment locations of troops for the purpose of protecting personnel, combat equipment, transport and materiel, as well as while building hydrotechtical structures, reinforcing road slopes, and as rapidly-erected fencings in flood control activities associated with floods of rivers, lakes, water reservoirs, as well as with the water level increase at the sea coast. The volumetric gabion structure consists of a frame 1 made of mesh 2 sheets hingedly connected with spirals 3 to each other into separate sections 4 and forming multi-sectional structures 5 interconnected in length with mounting rods 6 with a protective shell 7 installed inside each section 4 and fixed to the mesh 2, designed to prevent the pouring out of the soil filler. The sections 4 are installed in several rows parallel to one another at a distance equal to the width of the additional mesh sheets 9 installed between the rows perpendicularly and connecting the sections 4 of different rows. The additional mesh sheets 9 are made rapidly-detachable, for which purpose they have additional spirals installed on their sides, which are connected to the spirals 3 installed on the mesh sheets of 2 of the row sections by the mounting rods 6 inserted inside the spirals. The additional mesh sheets 9 can be made non-removable and are attached to the mesh sheets 2 of the row sections 4 while being mounted with the spirals 3. The additional mesh sheets 9 may also be provided with the protective shells 7 covering them from both sides. As a material for the protective fabric shell 7, a woven or non-woven material, for example, geotextile, can be used. Metal brackets can be used for fixing the protective shell 7. Each of the parallel rows is displaced relative to the other by 0.3…0.5 of the length of the multi-sectional structure 5. The spiral is made with an internal diameter of 16…35 mm, the pitch not less than 25 mm, from wire with a diameter of 2…5 mm. The length of the spirals is equal to the height of the sections.
EFFECT: application of the invention will allow to increase the transverse stability of the structure, to reduce the consumption of mesh sheets, and to increase the volume of soil filling the gabion structure.
