FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for determining the thermomechanical characteristics of polymeric composite materials, namely methods for determining heat resistance T. Sample in the form of a rod of constant cross section with pivotally attached ends is subjected to longitudinal bending by longitudinal loading to the deflection/stress, ensuring a guaranteed destruction of the sample in the investigated temperature range, preferably 0.1–0.5 from the breaking deflection/stress. Sample is heated with the registration of the change in the deflection and the heating temperature, while the heat resistance of the sample is determined as the temperature, at which its destruction takes place, characterized by a sharp increase in deflection or a change in the shape of the sample in the middle part. Device comprises a base, two hinged supports with receptacles for mounting the sample with the possibility of longitudinal (horizontal) displacement and creating a longitudinal bend of the sample, a deflection meter, wherein at least one of the supports is movable and provided with a loading mechanism.
EFFECT: reduction of labor input and increasing the accuracy of test results.
