FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acoustics. In the stand for the study of acoustic characteristics of sound-absorbing elements in a muffled chamber, including a drowned chamber in which the sound falling from the test object, mounted on the floating floor, is absorbed, while the choked chamber is located in a separate building with a foundation, walls, ceiling covering, inside of which, on an independent foundation, placed its walls, a floating floor on which the test object is installed and a light ceiling covering, while the muffled chamber is hermetically lined on all sides by a newly developed and to be tested sound-absorbing element, the sound power level Lp of the object under test is determined from the results of measurements of the Lsp average sound pressure level on the measuring surface, for which the area of the hemisphere S, m2, that is, S = 2πr2, then the corrected sound power level LpA is determined.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the accuracy of measuring the efficiency of noise attenuation of the acoustic characteristics of the new sound-absorbing elements.
