FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication, more particularly to communication devices, in particular to an antenna unit for a telecommunication device and to a telecommunications device, which can be used in communication networks of the 5th generation. Antenna unit comprises a dielectric substrate, dielectric coating on the dielectric substrate, slotted antenna array formed in a metal layer located on or in the dielectric substrate. In this case, the slotted antenna array is configured to form a running wave propagating along the dielectric substrate and the dielectric coating. Slotted antenna array has two groups of slotted elements, each slotted element of the second group has a shorter length than a slotted element of the first group. Slotted elements of the first and second groups are located opposite to each other, forming pairs of slotted elements. In a pair, the distance from a slotted element of the first group to a slotted element of the second group is chosen so as to provide a phase shift between the waves they emit in 90°. Pairs of slotted elements are disposed in such a way that the even pairs of slotted elements are offset relatively to the adjacent odd pairs of slotted elements.
EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring the formation of the radiation direction of an antenna, increased scanning range, increased efficiency of antenna millimeter range, reduced signal loss.
