FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: drying and cleaning of natural gases are carried out through the transmission of gases through sorbents in two consecutive absorbers. The first adsorption unit is filled with a combined layer of adsorbents consisting of consecutive natural gas adsorbent dryer based on aluminium oxide and fine-porous silica. Silica gel contains 0.01÷0.5 wt % of carbon compounds. Regeneration is carried out by purified gas with a ratio of adsorbent dryer to fine-porous silica gel equal to 5÷20 vol % from the total load of combined layer of adsorbents. Dehydration of water-hydrocarbon-methanol fraction produced in the first adsorption unit is carried out in a second adsorption unit. In the second unit, narrow-porous KA zeolite is used as adsorbent in amount of 10-40 vol % from the total charge of silica gel. The regeneration of zeolite is carried out by nitrogen-air mixture at temperature up to 400°C.
EFFECT: increased selectivity of adsorbent by means of two-step adsorption of natural gas.
