FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of gas purification by adsorbents, the regeneration of which is carried out by hot gas, passing through the adsorbent, namely to dehydration and purification of natural gases. Method for regenerating the adsorbent of dehydration of natural gases is realized by using excess heat of the process in the primary regeneration stage. In the first stage of regeneration, the regeneration gas is heated to a temperature of 100–140 °C due to the heat of adsorption and cooling of the regenerated adsorbent. Passing through the layer of the adsorbent operating in the first stage of regeneration, it removes most of the water from the periphery of the adsorbent pellets. Removal of residual water from the center of the adsorbent granules occurs in the second stage of regeneration at a temperature of 230–250 °C.
EFFECT: technical result achieved here is to reduce the energy intensity of the process by using excess heat and increase the effective life of the adsorbent – zeolite KA – due to a two-step removal of water without destroying its unique pore structure.
