FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to nickel beryllium-based alloys. Nickel beryllium alloy contains, wt%: beryllium 1.5–5.0, niobium 0.4–6.0, nickel – the rest. Method for obtaining a product from a nickel beryllium alloy involves casting the alloy melt into a mold to form a casting, hot casting treatment at a temperature of not less than 2,100 °F to obtain the product and annealing the article into a solid solution at a temperature of 1,900 to 2,000 °F for 4–24 hours.
EFFECT: alloys are characterized by high values of hardness and resistance to corrosion.
