SUBSTANCE: metallic glass is formed by alloy (Zr1-xTix)a1ETMa2(Cu1-Niy)b1LTMb2Bec, containing at least 50% amorphous phase, where ETM is early transition metal selected from the group including vanadium, hafnium, and chromium, atomic percentage of the latter not exceeding 0.2; LTM is late transition metal selected from the group including iron, cobalt, manganese, ruthenium, silver, and palladium; x and y are atomic portions; a1, a2, b1, b2, and c are atomic percentages; x and y each range from 0 to 1; a2 does not exceed 0.4a1; (a1+a2) lies in the range 30-75 and (b1+b2) in the range 5-62; b2 does not exceed 25; and c ranges from 2 to 47.
