FIELD: lighting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to portable non-electric lighting devices with a light source that does not contain paraffin, fats, wax or lamp oil. Body (1) of the device has an axisymmetric shape. Container (4) is made of a material with a capillary fibrous structure and is filled with a combustible substance impregnating the fibrous structure of the container. Nylon, lavsan and other artificial fibers forming the capillary structure of the container are used as the material of the fibers of container (4). Wick (6) with capillary fibrous structure passes through the axial channel of container (4). Container (4) with wick (6) is installed in inner channel (2) of light source body (1). End wall of the body (1) is formed by plug (3) and separates channel (2) from the ambient air. Part of the wick (6) is located between the end wall of body (1) and the end part of container (4). Container (4) is installed in the cavity of channel (2) of the body to form a gap with respect to the side wall of the housing. Cover (5) with the axial hole is installed on the open part of channel (2). Fibers of container (4) are oriented along the wick and are made of a material wetted with a liquid fuel substance. As a combustible substance, a monohydric alcohol or a mixture of monohydric alcohols, a carbonyl compound, a mixture of carbonyl compounds, a mixture of alcohols and carbonyl compounds are used. Combustible substance includes in its composition additional components: a flavoring component and a component that affects the color of the flame. On the outer surface of body (1) is applied a coating that simulates the surface of the wax candle. Detachable protective cap (9) is installed on the upper end of body (1), separating the open part of channel (2) with cover (5) from the surrounding air environment.
EFFECT: stable supply of liquid fuel material from the container to the open part of the wick when the spatial position of the light source is changed; conditions are provided for the complete combustion of the combustible substance in the oxygen of the air without the formation of soot and smoke.
