FIELD: test equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test equipment, namely, to an apparatus for testing ammunition for rapid heating. The installation for testing ammunition for rapid heating contains support devices for holding the tested ammunition, a tank filled with liquid fuel placed on the surface of the test site, and a set of windscreens mounted along its boundaries, equipped with air intake devices, and heat-reflecting guide surfaces located above them. The reservoir for liquid fuel is made in the form of a prismatic container, provided with a removable lid with a flanged longitudinal groove, in which a wick is placed, the lower part of which is immersed in liquid fuel to the bottom of the container. Windscreens are made in the form of inclined planes installed with a gap between their lower edges and the surface of the test site, which serves as an air intake device. The heat-reflecting guide surfaces located above them are cylindrical in the longitudinal direction and provided with external thermal insulation. The axes of the cylindrical surfaces coincide with the longitudinal axis of the test ammunition.

EFFECT: improving the conditions for heating the surface of the ammunition, reducing air pollution by combustion products and reducing fuel consumption.
