FIELD: veterinary.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary science and medicine, namely to hematology. Method for determining the suitability of fish skin mucus for hemostasis by activating platelet aggregation and blood clotting IN VITRO comprises introducing mucus into blood plasma of sheep enriched with platelets (PEP), into native blood and determining clotting reaction time visually and by photometry on a photoelectric colorimeter (PHEC) in the experimental and control samples.
EFFECT: when clotting reaction is accelerated in comparison with the control, fish skin mucus is estimated as suitable for hemostasis.
