FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument engineering. Density meter for measuring density of a liquid medium contains a housing with a measuring cavity, a float with an integrated permanent magnet in cavity, an electrical float position sensor connected to the density calculation unit, electromagnet connected to the power supply of the electromagnet. Magnetic field is created by an electromagnet without a magnetic circuit and a stepped source of electromagnet supply current, which has an electrical connection with density calculating unit. In the housing of the density meter, temperature and vertical sensors are connected to the density calculator. Permanent magnet is located in the bottom of the float, the body of the device is perforated and suspended vertically on a flexible connection passing through the axis of symmetry of the body and the float.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing possibility of increasing accuracy of measurements.
