FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: device for measuring level and density of liquid in a reservoir comprises a sound duct in the form of a string of magnetostrictive material, a protective tube, a permanent marker magnet, level and density floats with permanent magnets placed in them, protective tube is attached to lower part of protective tube, to upper part of which density float is suspended by means of balancing chains, wherein four balancing chains are attached to the upper end of the protective casing in two diametrically opposite points and to the lower part of the density float in two diametrically opposite points with turn of 90° relative to attachment points of balancing chains on protective casing. At low level of liquid in the tank there is lowering level float on density float, at that, in order to exclude errors of measurements in microprocessor control and signal processing circuit, last correct value of product density is stored.
EFFECT: design of a device for measuring the level and density of liquid in a reservoir, which enables to measure density in the lower part of the reservoir in a wide range of density and temperature with minimum dimensions of a density meter and with an extended range of measurement of the level in the lower part of the reservoir.
