FIELD: automotive industry; means of protection.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to means of protecting headlights of a car from mechanical damage. Protective device for a vehicle's headlight comprises a volume lattice, inside which horizontal and vertical elements are fixed, and elements for fastening placed along the perimeter of the lattice. Protective device is made in the form of a single piece with the lower and the upper flanges, it has a ring, which the flanges are rigidly fixed to. Horizontal and vertical elements are made as ribs. Elements for fastening are made as holes and a cut-out for screws. Other holes are intended for adjusting the headlight angle of inclination when the lattice is mounted on it. Lattice is mounted on the headlights by applying the lower flange to the headlight, aligning the fixing holes with the existing fixing holes on the headlight and fixing the screws in these holes. Then on the lattice fixed on the headlight a plastic protective rim is put and fixed through the cutout at the bottom of the lower flange to the headlight. Gap between the lattice ring and the plastic protective rim remains within at least 1 mm and ensures a free attachment of the protective rim to the lattice fixed onto the headlight.

EFFECT: creation of a strong and reliable design of the protective device for vehicle headlights with high performance characteristics is achieved.
