FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to compositions of cast iron, that can be used for casting of articles operating under thermal loads, for example, molds. Cast iron contains, wt%: carbon 4.0–4.5; silicon 0.8–1.0; manganese 1.0–1.4; chromium 0.1–0.15; barium 0.001–0.005; nickel 1.0–1.4; boron 0.08–0.12; copper 0.3–0.5; rhenium 0.08–0.12; silver 0.001–0.005; tungsten 0.7–1.1; rest is iron.
EFFECT: technical result is higher heat resistance of cast iron.
