FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to cast iron compositions. Can be used for casting of products operating under thermal loads. Cast iron contains, wt%: carbon 4.0–4.5; silicon 0.8–1.0; manganese 1.0–1.4; chromium 0.1–0.15; barium 0.001–0.005; vanadium 0.2–0.25; tantalum 0.1–0.14; palladium 0.1–0.14; rest is iron.
EFFECT: cast iron has a high thermal resistance.
