FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to compositions of cast iron, that can be used for casting of articles operating under thermal loads, for example, molds. Cast iron contains, wt. %: carbon 4.0–4.5; silicon 0.8–1.0; manganese 1.0–1.4; chromium 0.1–0.15; barium 0.001–0.005; cobalt 1.0–1.4; silver 0.001–0.005; tungsten 0.9–1.3; iron is the rest.
EFFECT: increase of the cast iron heat resistance.
