SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agricultural engineering, in particular to devices for applying protective coatings in the form of a film on agricultural products, preferably on seeds of agricultural crops. Installation for applying a moisture barrier film to agricultural products, for example, seeds of crops, is equipped with outer thermal insulation coating (17) and consists of heat (1) with bell (2) for feeding the seeds for processing, conveyor (3) supplying pre-moistened and surface-dried seeds. Suction duct (5) of fan (6) is connected to the upper part of heat (1), pressure air duct (7) of which is connected through perforated sparger tube (8) with sealed tub (9) equipped with heater (10). Hermetic bath (9) is communicated by annular cavity (15) with leak (1) at location below the grain loading into it at a distance determined by the conditions of the permissible temperature of the seed embryo during the flight of each seed in the range of the vapors. Processing of agricultural products, for example seeds, in the plant is carried out within the limits of the heat removal of the coating vapors from the temperature of their overheating in bath (9) to the vaporization temperature at the place of their return to bath (9).

EFFECT: thickness of the protective coating on agricultural products is reduced, the material is consumed on this coating, and the temperature effect on the processed product is reduced by improving the process and the installation for applying the protective coating.
