FIELD: SHF equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to SHF equipment and is intended for tapping of power of one of two traveling waves propagating in line in opposite directions from high-frequency path. Proposed directional coupler has section 1 of rectangular waveguide where conductive plate 3 is installed in parallel to wide walls to form three arms of waveguide type. First arm is formed by section 1 of waveguide. Two other arms are located on opposite end of section 1 of waveguide and are formed by walls of waveguide and conductive plate 3. Matched load 5 is placed in one of mentioned arms. Conductive plate 3 has slit 6 that forms section of waveguide-slit line together with walls of waveguide that is used as fourth arm of directional coupler. EFFECT: usage of directional coupler in shorter waves range up to submillimeter range, small dimensions and simplified manufacturing process. 2 cl, 6 dwg
