FIELD: image processing means.
SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining and processing images of Earth’s remote sensing deformed by turbulent air consists in obtaining a spectral-filtered short-expositional image of an object spatially invariant to atmospheric distortions. Mean square of spatial frequency module of spectra of the fragments of said image is obtained. Average square of the module of spatial spectra of fragments of the observed object is found. Estimation of the modulus of optical transfer function of the system of atmosphere-telescope is determined. Estimation of the aspect of the optical transfer function. Based on these values, Wienier filter is formed to filter the spatial spectrum of registered image. When the Fourier transform is reversed, the diffraction-limited distribution of the observed object intensity undistorted by the atmosphere is restored.
EFFECT: technical result is in expanding the class of Earth’s remote sensing that are spatially invariant to atmospheric distortions, and increasing the instrumental resolution of the Earth’s remote sensing system in the restored image.
