FIELD: antenna equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method for optimizing radio technical characteristics of antenna fairing with a wall made of multicomponent material, including determining wall thickness tuned to operating frequency range of fairing, its manufacture and measurement of radio technical characteristics at the stand, characterized in that the dielectric penetrabilities and tangents of dielectric loss angle are measured, volumes and densities of all the components that make up material of fairing wall are determined from the maximum of transmission coefficient of transmitted wave for average dip on the fairing in operating frequency range of wall thickness, representing it as a one-dimensional stack of identical sequentially arranged plates with a structure in form of uniformly stacked layers, equal to the number of components of the material with a thickness, equal to part by volume of each material divided between the number of plates relative to total part by volume of the component in the material constituting the structure as a sum of parts by volume of components and equal to total volume of the material.

EFFECT: in comparison with the known solutions in proposed method, the procedure for determining the effective penetrability of the mixture is eliminated, and determination of thickness of wall of the antenna fairing with a wall made of multicomponent material with optimum radio engineering characteristics is performed directly from measured dielectric penetrability and tangent of the dielectric loss angles, volumes and densities of all components that make up the material of the fairing wall.
