In the hybrid power train control method, disconnect the first gear pair; connect the first planetary gear to the output shaft via a coupling mechanism that connects the first main shaft to the output shaft. Then disconnect the fifth gear pair. Next, the torque generated by the internal combustion engine is transmitted from the second planetary gear to the intermediate shaft via the second gear pair and torque is transmitted from the intermediate shaft to the output shaft via the third gear pair.

EFFECT: continuous transmission of torque during gear changes is ensured.
