SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hybrid power transmissions. In the hybrid power transmission control method, two rotating components are connected in the first planetary gear to each other; disconnect all rotating components of the second planetary gear from each other; meshing a gear corresponding to one gear pair which is connected to the second planetary gear, and disconnect one gear pair that is connected to the first planetary gear. Next, the second electric machine is controlled such that the required torque is reached on the output shaft; controlling the internal combustion engine to the required engine rotation speed and controlling the first electric machine so that the required total power consumption for the first and second electric machines is achieved.

EFFECT: required preferred rotational speed of the internal combustion engine is achieved, regardless of the speed of rotation of the power transmission.
