SUBSTANCE: heat transfer plate (32) has a first long side (46) and a second long side (48) and comprises a distribution area (64), a transition area (66), and a heat transfer area (54). Transition area (66) is adjacent to the distribution area (64) along the first boundary line (68) and the heat transfer area (54) along the second boundary line (70), and it is provided with a transition pattern comprising transitional protrusions (98) and transitional grooves (100). Heat transfer plate second boundary line (70) main portion is at least straight and substantially perpendicular to the heat transfer plate (32) longitudinal central axis (y). Smallest angle αn for the first group of transition protrusions (98) within the third sub-area (66c) is substantially equal to said first angle α1.
EFFECT: proposed are heat transfer plate (32) and plate heat exchanger (26) containing such heat transfer plate.
