SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a heat transfer plate (8) and heat exchanger (2) comprising a plurality of such heat transfer plates. Heat transfer plate includes a heat transfer area (22) equipped with a corrugated structure comprising ridges (36) and recesses (38) arranged in alternating order relative to the central plane (C) of the heat transfer plate length. Flanges form arrows comprising first arrows (58), wherein each of first arrows comprises two legs arranged on opposite sides of corresponding one of first number of imaginary straight lines (60), and head (59) located on corresponding one of first number of imaginary straight lines (60) extending through entire area of heat transfer parallel to longitudinal central axis (I) of heat transfer plate. Each of imaginary straight lines (60) contains at least one main section (66), along which at least three uniformly spaced apart heads (59) of the first arrows are located. Heat transfer plate (8) is characterized in that at least the majority of imaginary straight lines (60) comprises at least one auxiliary section (68), along each of which length of crests (36) and recesses (38) on one side of imaginary straight line (60) is parallel to length of ridges and recesses on other – opposite – to side of imaginary straight line.
