FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy, in particular to the processing of steel by gas in metallurgical aggregates during steel smelting, its discharge from the steelmaking furnace and at the out-of-furnace installations in the steel-pouring and intermediate ladles. Method includes blowing the steel with gas continuously at varying intensity through at least one blowing device. Gas supply to each of the purge devices is performed in the pulsating mode with the frequency of at least 150 Hz. Minimum supply gas pressure is set to at least 800 kPa, and the maximum supply gas pressure is set to not more than 2,500 kPa. During the purging of the steel with the feed gas, the solids are injected into the steel, the volume of which is 5–50 % of the volume of the gas supplied. Neutral gases, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons or the mixture thereof are used as the gas.
EFFECT: invention allows to improve the quality of steel by means of improving the process of mixing the steel in the ladle, and also by means of reducing the harmful impurities in the steel.
