FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in mixing liquid steel by effecting it with impact pressure pulsations of blasting gas, when duration of pulses of maximal and minimal pressure of blasting gas is specifically set for each purger. Each purger operates under independent mode parallel-simultaneously with other facilities or independently from them. Implementation of the disclosed procedure facilitates total mixing of whole cross section of the ladle and whole volume of steel in the ladle with alloying additives and ferroalloys introduced into steel, also facilitates maximal withdrawal of non-metallic inclusions while maintaining uniformity of a slag layer.

EFFECT: upgraded quality of steel.
