FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves blasting steel from below with gas or gas-powder mixture through at least two blasting devices arranged in diametrically opposed sides of ladle, with blasting being carried out in succession, at first through one blasting device positioned at one side of ladle, with following blasting through other blasting device positioned at other side of ladle; maintaining pressure in blasting device, which is not operating at the moment, at the level preventing metal from flowing into said device; increasing blasting device changing over period with increase in weight of steel in ladle; keeping volume of gas constant during changing over of supplying gas or gas-powder mixture from one blasting device to another blasting device. Method is used for processing of metal in ladle outside furnace. EFFECT: wider active zone of contacting gas or gas-powder mixture with metal, reduced time for obtaining homogenized metal composition without increase in amounts of gas supplied, and, accordingly, intensified mixing of steel in ladle during blasting with gas or gas-powder mixture. 3 cl, 4 dwg
