FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. For the introduction of the intraocular lens (IOL), an injector device is used, which comprises a tubular body with a plunger longitudinally disposed within the tubular body. As the plunger moves toward the front of the device, its tip engages the intraocular lens insertion cartridge, which is installed on or near the front of the body. Injector device for insertion of the IOL further comprises a control loop. Control loop is configured to perform the steps of advancing the plunger forward to the critical point, the retraction of the plunger back from the critical point by a sufficient distance to relax the material of the intraocular lens, stop, advance the plunger forward to the critical point a second time and continue the advance of the plunger beyond the critical point for implantation of the intraocular lens.
EFFECT: group of inventions improves the method of delivering the IOL to the eyeball by using the claimed device for implanting the IOL into a capsule of the lens.
