FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. A device for intraocular lens (IOL) insertion is modularised to enable the postoperative cleansing of inner components. The device comprises first and second modules of the body. These modules together limit a passage in the line of which an injector rod moves between a retracted position and a projected position. The first module additionally accommodates a lens cartridge module. The cartridge module comprises the IOL coaxial with the passage. Consequently, as the rod moves from the retracted position into the projected position, a front portion of the rod substantially surrounded by the first module in the retracted position travels into the cartridge module and shifts the IOL. The first module can be though configured to be detached from the second module, thereby exposing the front portion of the rod in the retracted position for the cleansing purpose.
EFFECT: using the presented group of invention enables performing the high-quality cleansing of the inner components of the device.
