FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Dry powder inhaler contains a capsule tray, a lid and an actuator (or nozzle), and an inhaler body. Air is absorbed by the patient through the actuator or nozzle, which is communicated with the capsule, and passes through the air channels through the device and through the capsule with dispersion and entrainment, thereby, a dose of powder. Capsule is cut by a cutting means located on the body, which eliminates or minimizes the capsule cuttings and minimizes the precipitation of the powder when used. Body, actuator and lid are provided with hinged segments which, when assembled with each other and the actuator is fixed in the body, form a single hinge that holds all the components of the inhaler together in working order and that allows the lid to freely rotate around the body and actuator.
EFFECT: invention offers a very economical and simple device for the administration of inhaled medications.
