SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, internal diseases, diagnostics, and is intended to assess the cardiovascular risk in patients with COPD on the background of smoking. Risk factors for cardiovascular diseases are determined: sex, severity of COPD, intensity and duration of smoking, degree of tobacco dependence, elevated levels of low-density lipoproteins and presence of abdominal obesity. Each risk factor is assessed in points. Depending on the total value obtained, low, moderate or high cardiovascular risk is determined.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of the evaluation of cardiovascular risk in patients with COPD on the background of smoking by determining the informatively significant risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.
