FIELD: healthcare.
SUBSTANCE: The invention relates to healthcare, in particular to cardiology, therapy, preventive medicine, and can be used to diagnose subclinical atherosclerosis of the carotid arteries. Cardiovascular risk is assessed on the SCORE scale. When detecting low and moderate risk (0-3%), diastolic blood pressure, ethnicity and further calculation of the probable risk (P) are additionally assessed according to the original formula: P=1/ (1+e∧-(-15.952+0.512*EP+0.244*age+0.046*DAD+1.501*SC), where EG - ethnic group (0 - Slavic, 1 - Korean), DAD - diastolic blood pressure, SC - smoking status (0 - does not smoke, 1 - smokes), at P ≥0.375, a high risk of carotid artery atherosclerosis is established.
EFFECT: The present invention provides a method that increases the accuracy of predicting the risk of carotid artery atherosclerosis in people 30-49 years of Slavic and Korean ethnicity, available for routine use in real clinical practice.
